Its pierced, geometric handle was inspired by the frame of the legendary birdcage Maserati, which revolutionized sports car design. True to that spirit, the Edgerati's handle scales are painstakingly machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum and hardcoat anodized to create an exceptional blend of strength, light weight, non-slip texture, and dramatic style. They also provide a view of the knife's streamlined Compression Lock mechanism, which consists of a stainless steel lock bar nested into a machined pocket in the obverse-side scale. The knife's straight-spined, full-flat-ground blade is crafted from CPM S30V particle metallurgy stainless steel. Available in both PlainEdge and SpyderEdge configurations, it features a textured index-finger choil that allows a forward-positioned grip for enhanced control.
